Da’am is an organisation set-up to support people who are facing state persecution in the UK as a result of taking direct action in solidarity with Palestine.

We are a group of volunteers supporting activists through the process of the criminal justice system. We are a network who work to break the sense of isolation that comes with being targeted by the state – we are committed to building a community in struggle founded on the basis of mutual aid, care and solidarity.

By offering support for people we are not endorsing taking direct action.

What we do

  • Police station support: mobilising support crowds and organising pick-ups to ensure arrestees get home safe
  • Trial support: preparing activists for court, including helping defendents understand the legal system and connecting them to other relevant groups and resources; helping defendants find accommodation near where their trial is taking place; cover travel costs where funds allow for those on low-income and require financial assistance
  • Prisoner support: buddying with political prisoners, campaigning for their rights, sending in donations to prison (clothes and books) being available to families and loved ones to help them understand the situation and offering limited financial support to prisoners who need it
  • Crowd-funding support for legal fees

For now, we only work with referrals.
